NIH says there's 800,000 with ESRD so $72B. Most of that covered by Medicare. So numbers seem correct.

Yes. So one would think, logically, a 50bps cut in the Fed rate would be cheered and a guy whose response to how he'd cut grocery prices is to reply he'd increase the cost of imported food would receive boos. Not to mention his plan to deport all illegal immigrants would cause grocery shortages and explode the cost. Yet he gets applause for it.
Makes one think (rightly) the motivating issue for MAGA isn't really their pocketbook.
