It looks like somebody watching an elderly person come out of the bedroom with their pants on backwards.

It's really only going to come down to this:
Will the Republican party, in enough states, manage to disenfranchise enough voters to keep Harris' vote tally down. That's literally their only path to victory.
The orange guy has done virtually nothing to get more people to vote for him.

I think the most worrying part of the US is that so many still loyally back Trump despite all he clearly is from his adult life in business and a decade in politics now. That it is a tight race shows how America can’t be relied to prop up democracy and human rights across the world.
This past decade’s dalliance with populism has sadly normalised the thickest, angriest and nastiest after decades of kicking them into the long grass for the good of society.
But we also need to look at the mechanisms of how this happened, through a lack of applied controls and checks, the dumbing down of the populous and - importantly - bloated bureaucracy left people feelijg unrepresentated and cared for in democratic societies.
Despite all of this anyone backing Trump is a beaut. It doesn’t need to be deeper than that.

I think it's the first time in absolutely ages moderators didnt let some of his BS slide. At some point he was going to be held to account for absolute lies.
It would be one thing if they were ambiguous, misleading answers. But he just spouts nonsense and rarely gets pulled up for it.
I'm pretty sure if Harris was lying in the same way, she'd get called out way quicker.
What's lost in the weeds is that Trump wouldn't say victory for Ukraine was in Americas interest or that he'd veto a federal abortion ban.
