There is a possible reason as to why the new kit designs haven’t been released and it becomes a lot clearer if you watch the YouTube video that has just been posted by Hashtag United.
For those that don’t want to watch it the gist of it is as follows.
Elite is a company that owns (owned) the rights to produce sporting wear with the Hummel logo in the UK. Hashtag along with many other teams including us had a contract with Elite and not Hummel.
Elite have gone into administration and have not paid any of their clubs for the last two seasons.
The reason they went into administration is due to a six figure fine from breaking competition law in relation to their deal with Rangers.
Elite stopped producing kit and merchandise half way through last season.
Obviously the contract deal with us might be different to the one Hashtag had might be different but it’s still a problem and is more than likely the reason why we have no new kit release yet.

It’s nothing to do with the deal Everton have with Hummel, Elite don’t produce our kits or distribute them due to our fanatics deal. As reported in the echo below.
We announce the kits in the same way each year, more or less, it’s a marketing strategy. There is always a month gap between each kit announcement.

We don't deal with Elite. Our kit distributor is the main Hummel one, different to the one that the likes of Coventry, Southampton & Wycombe use - I'm fairly certain about it. The only reason we'd have anything to do with Elite is for little things like stationary for example. The likes of Arsenal and some of the bigger clubs use them as well for bits and pieces like that. But as for the kit, them going into administration doesn't affect us one bit. Was reading about it on Twitter last night.
