I like Buttgieg, albeit in a theoretical way. Thought he was pretty impressive and less scripted. Harris was forceful and I think it was wise to be in this setting but I think she has issues I would have to take into consideration if I was a Democrat looking for someone to win the general. Immigration is going to be a problem for everyone in a general but you're going to see a ton of walking back per usual.

Biden's "that person would not be the focus of deportation" was a highlight. Masterclass in the non-answer.
Buttigeig had excellent delivery - rather than shouting his answers he often would lower his voice and it was interesting to note how the audience/other candidates would become quiet to listen.

Biden currently has a lot of African American support - to win the primary Harris needs to peel off some of those voters, especially for S Carolina where she probably needs to come at least second,

I expect some more candidates to pick up the “not the focus of deportation” language as a way to discuss support for Obama’s administration’s latter years policy concentrating resources on deporting those with serious criminal histories.

I found it fairly infuriating that Biden seemed to be taking credit for everything Obama did. Now that may have been the case with Bush and Cheney but I doubt Biden had a whole lot of say when it came to Obama's policy making. Maybe I'm wrong.

I don’t know if last nights debate will alter Biden’s support from those not online - the dust up with Booker about his segregationist comments certainly didn’t.

However Biden’s team seem very leaky and critical of their candidate

There were similar sources with the Hyde amendment reversal, not a great sign to have a team doing this “he doesn’t listen to us so it isn’t our fault” routine so early in the campaign.

Some of my thoughts:

1) I liked Harris before and like her after this debate. No doubt she has the chops and experience. She is very intelligent. She has a way of coming off very angry and emotional, to be electable I think she needs to bring it down a notch at times.
2) First time I had really ever heard Mayor Pete speak. I was way more impressed with him than I thought I would be. I still don't think he can be POTUS b/c of his relative lack of experience, but I'm intrigued.
3) Biden needs to go away
4) Bernie is Bernie. A lot of what he speaks is the truth. Not sure if he's presidential and if some of his stuff is realistic

I think the whole electability thing is out the window at this point isn’t it?

I mean, you’ve SEEN who the President is, right?

Harris has a problem - her record as a prosecutor. And the stuff about shagging her way to the top

Did "Mayor Pete" mention he was gay? He's gay, you know. And a Mayor of tiny liberal town no one's heard of

Biden's the only hope you guys have got. Deal with it

Yep, Bernie is Bernie. He wants to kick everyone off private insurance and onto government healthcare. He wants to do this on his first day in office. Never happening in a million years, the illegality of it alone would stop it. He also wants to raise everyone's income taxes to pay off student loans for those lucky enough to go to uni. Only in the bubble of the hard left would someone like Bernie Sanders actually believe he could be president

Are you serious? You lead with that he's gay? Are you against gays? You know everyone knows that right? He has never hid that fact. Are you insane?

As for South Bend being not heard are you for real? You do know one of the most well known Universities is in South Bend. Notre Dame. It's a well known city. Clueless.

Also the best you have on Harris is slander. Instead of googling and finding issues people have been critical off when it comes to her, you just repeat slander from the right. Anyway in this day and age infidelity seems to be accepted. Look at who's sitting in office. It doesn't seem to bother the right that Trump paid a porn star.

Her record like many prosecutors has blips or controversial decisions. Prosecutors are always controversial. But for the most part her record and history has been pretty decent.

You are just full of alt right nonsense. You never have links or facts to backup your ridiculous "opinion". By the way opinions are not facts.

So in your mind Harris and Buttigeig have "sex problems"... but not your Derp Leader? 22 women alledge sexual impropriety. "Grab 'em by the [Poor language removed]". Marital infidelity. "If she wasn't my daughter I'd probably date her".

No issues there, huh?

When I was a Uni student here in Texas, taxpayers covered 80% of the cost and tuition was regulated by the legislature. At the founding of this state, our leaders and citizens recognized the value to all of having the opportunity to be educated to the highest attainable level.

Call it impractical if you wish (though it is inaccurate). Say those who believe it to be so exist in a bubble. Just don't claim it is a novel concept or even a "leftist" one.

Remember he (as in st domingo) has already said they all lied because they didn't call the cops when it happened. Oh and they all want to write books too.
