Haha perhaps. I just felt amazed that the managers tactic was to take off midfielders and throw on centre forwards + long ball to them when we have Keane and Mina...

Just a bizarre strategy...
They are an ok bunch of players, but something is up with them after watching that. I don't know what it is, but they have about them the whiff of Villa when they went down.

They just seem stale...bar Deulofeu and the corner specialist i dont think they had any creativity.

However, Palace didnt back Hodgson in the window...i can see there being some disharmony from Zaha and the loss of Wan Bissaka will hurt them.

I went for Bruce a while back, but after seeing Watford at the weekend, they looked like a car crash about to happen.

Capoue is a walking red card. There's no coherence in their hustle and bustle when they're trying to make something happen in their favour - that could soon lead to a loss of motivation to actually try. I didn't get anything from them at all at the weekend. The Watford owners might follow their traditional route of sacking the manager. Perhaps they can say it was our fault for unsettling Doucoure.
I actually think Watford's problems are not the manager as much as having limited and inconsistent attackers. The way they pressed us and controlled the game in the second half should have led to more than it did for them. But having Will Hughes as an attacking midfielder and Deulofeu being the main man with his inconsistency is a problem. Also Deeney isn't the best striker. Sarr will be big for them because him and Deulofeu is serious pace to defend.

None of this means Gracia is safe with that ownership but I personally think he can sort out this rough spell that they're in.

Watford’s transfers always seem so incoherent. Instead of building a squad up and having a plan for how they want to play, they’re like an island of misfit toys. (Deulofeu is a perfect example - he has some fantastic skill but can’t make it past the 60 minute mark.) Only occasionally do they hit upon a truly class player, who is quickly sold while they whine and complain about the buying club all the way to the bank. Then they blame everything on the manager.

Other .
A manager in the top 6 will end up at Real when Zidane realises you should never go back.

I don't know who is in charge of transfers over there but these are their first team purchases the last few seasons:
19/20:
G. Cahill
J. Ayew
Camarasa
McCarthy

18/19:
Guaita
Kouyate
Meyer
Sako
Batshauyi (Loan not renewed)

17/18:
Riedewald
M. Sakho
Sorloth

That's honestly horrid business and the kind of lack of investment and lack of squad rejuvenation that is going to see them inch closer and closer to the drop if they don't keep Zaha in the team and firing. They're a club I mostly like so I'm a bit concerned for them.

Was thinking this the other day watching them toil against Sheff Utd. How do you sell Wan Bissaka for near on £50m and barely reinvest a penny into already appalling squad that banks on one player saving them season in, season out?

The fact Connor Wickham still gets games for them is laughable, but is kind of symbolic of their problems.
