It still feels like Bruce. Their two big signings the last two windows, Joelinton and Almiron, really don't suit the smash it long style that Bruce is going to use. Might be a quick one.

Woy might get an early sack, they just look like Zaha and 10 relegation cloggers. Maybe they didn’t sell because they knew they’d be doomed without him?

Also Watford have lost 5 straight in the league going back to last year, and that doesn’t count the 6-0 demolition at Wembley. Gracia could still be the first one out with their irrational sacking club status.

I don't know who is in charge of transfers over there but these are their first team purchases the last few seasons:
19/20:
G. Cahill
J. Ayew
Camarasa
McCarthy

18/19:
Guaita
Kouyate
Meyer
Sako
Batshauyi (Loan not renewed)

17/18:
Riedewald
M. Sakho
Sorloth

That's honestly horrid business and the kind of lack of investment and lack of squad rejuvenation that is going to see them inch closer and closer to the drop if they don't keep Zaha in the team and firing. They're a club I mostly like so I'm a bit concerned for them.

There’s a rumour that he has a one-year exemption in his contract because of the impact of the transfer ban.

So, basically he can’t be sacked until the end of the season unless they’re on course to be relegated.
Sounds about right

Ive gone for Javi Gracia (watford) but a very close 2nd would be Hodgson...
I went for Bruce a while back, but after seeing Watford at the weekend, they looked like a car crash about to happen.

Capoue is a walking red card. There's no coherence in their hustle and bustle when they're trying to make something happen in their favour - that could soon lead to a loss of motivation to actually try. I didn't get anything from them at all at the weekend. The Watford owners might follow their traditional route of sacking the manager. Perhaps they can say it was our fault for unsettling Doucoure.

Haha perhaps. I just felt amazed that the managers tactic was to take off midfielders and throw on centre forwards + long ball to them when we have Keane and Mina...

Just a bizarre strategy...
