WANTED:
Newcastle at home first game - shut the bad melts up nice and early
Anfield derby on November 18th - the 22nd anniversary of Kanchelskis' double strike.
Home to United on boxing day. Always boss.
Goodison derby at night, on the traditional late Jan/early Feb midweek match
A beleaguered and battered Huddersfield at home on the last day when we really need a win for top four.

PREDICTED:
I predict Soton away first game
Goodison derby will be first again. October-ish
Burnley (A) on Boxing day
Anfield derby to coincide with League Cup final, postponed after the RS fluke their way to the final. We get slaughtered in the subsequent night match. They complete the Premier League double over us for the seventh time.
Home to Tottenham last game on the last day when we really need a win for top four.

That would explain why the Goodison derby has been first for 13 out of the last 14 years. The odds of having it first 11 years on the spin (assuming no fixing) are astronomic. Why was 2014/15 different I wonder? Maybe they wanted to see what would happen to ST sales.

Just before the Goodison derby of November 2013 a newspaper actually asked the fixture team if there was an arrangement. They said not. Coincidentally, the first derby was at Anfield the very next season....

Maybe the Moshiri era will end this derby fixture nonsense. It is also worth noting that we haven't won a return derby for 30 years now - mostly because we've been at Anfield. But still, we have no use for excuses!
 
I'd like something like Bournemouth or Burnley at home to start as we should be able to get some goals to start things off. Last can be whoever as big chance it is more or less meaningless. Derbies around October and March would be alright
 

The Premier League begins on Saturday 12 August.

It finishes on Sunday 13 May 2018 - the 2018 World Cup in Russia starts on 14 June.
 

I always look for the games that I'll watch from a bar on holiday, so it's some time in the middle of August (my wife usually arranges the holidays) and games between January 25th Jan and 8th Feb

Don't want newly promoted teams away first they're always up for it and usually take points off us. Top 6 side away from home would be good, a free swing at it before theyre settled etc. Goodison Derby in second half of season would also be nice. RS not having the top 6 all at home second half would be good too.
