If anyone wanted any more reason to play the youth team in the League Cup, the naming of it of the Carabao Cup should be the tipping point.

Whole thing means nothing.

It's a cup, we haven't won one since 95, and not this one in our history, don't think we're in a position to be turning our noses up at any competition.

Chelsea game comes the weekend before their first CL group game, United game will come the weekend before their second group game of the CL, so hopefully we face both teams with one eye on those games coming up.

I work in Leek with a lot of Stoke fans, they seem worried about playing us first

I can't think why, games between us are always close and could usually go either way

Was really hoping we'd get an easy draw on this and miss out on some of the big boys. We seem to get drawn against City, Chelsea and United every year - starting to think it's a fix

Truth be told Ste, if we qualify in the Europa we should be on a decent enough run to be ready to open the season.
