You'd think Koeman without a world class striker, is going to play more of the Cryuff diamond. Not sure if that's really a 4-3-3 or a 4-2-1-2-1, but it doesn't matter. 4 in the back with Gana/Morgan in front of them, and I think Klassen at the base of the diamond, Rooney/Ross (soon to be Sigurdsson), and Sandro up top (soon to sign Giroud).

i was going to say, wtf is that? Then i realised we haven't bought about 4 players that i think we will. Sandro gets in the first team ahead of mirallas or bolasie atm you'd think. Not sure why funes mori was totally direguarded ha
Tbh I forgot about RFM myself

But both he and McCarthy have been linked elsewhere so perhaps they were thinking those moves would happen?

No Besic either which will make @MorgsGoat sad or mad!

ha, well if they're going to play that game they can add some signings in as well. That squad they produced wouldn't get close to competing for top 4, but we're still going to spend another £80m on about 4 or 5 more players, 2 or 3 of them being 1st team additions.

I'm seeing a lot of rotations, and the only sure names on the sheet in August will be Pickford, Keane and Gana.

This is how I think Koeman sees the squad, we will have 1 of Sigurdsson and Barkley next season, but not both, and we will be buying a new first team striker. Niasse, McGeady and Joel will still be moved on.

It leaves squad space for Barry, Pennington, Kenny, Lookman, Lennon, Calvert-Lewin and Dowell.

Starting 11:

-------------Pickford--------------
Kenny--Williams--Keane--Baines
--------Schneids -- Gana---------
--------------Davies---------------
----Klaassen -------- Bolasie-----
---------------Sandro--------------

By end of game:
Rooney on for Sandro, Mirallas on for Davies, Barry for Gana
More disciplined to see out the game

-------------Pickford--------------
Kenny--Williams--Keane--Baines
---------------Barry---------------
-------Klaassen--Schneids-------
-----Mirallas-------- Bolasie------
--------------Rooney--------------

Replace Kenny for Coleman when he's fit and ready (unless Kenny is absolutely tearing it up)
With Bolasie fit, I can't find a way to keep Barkley in the side... Let alone Sigurdsson, if we get him. The only thing that comes to mind for those two is 'rotation for Europa'.

Ronald Koemans wingless wonders!

Sorry just saw this thread so reposting:
The as it is (all fit) starting 11 is a mind bender:
JP
Coleman Williams Keane Baines
Gueye. Schneids
Davies. Klaassen. Barkley
Rooney

Subs on Lookman, Sandro, mirallas

Putting Rooney upfront, but initial thought was Sandro and Davies get benched.. want my Tom lad play! Do have an issue with real width still.
