I know were all laughing about "Fake" bids, but we did bid 12 million for Shearer, the day after Newcastle had agreed a fee of 15 million.

I'm not defending Essex blue, also not saying the recent bids are fake. The sad thing is, we have form for this type of thing. Unfortunately quite a few of our supposed transfers encounter some type of issue, and the common denominator is ourselves.

If we have money available and don't buy a player in this window it would be very poor. We may still get 4th without signing anyone, but it would be a great boost for the team to get someone new in (stones aside)

We have been a bit stale the last few Ames a need a spark which a new signing would bring. If we can go up o 8-9mil there has to be someone decent around

Everton can be excused for pulling out the Fer deal, as they were obviously concerned about the knee. But with 3 and a half hours to go, it is inexcusable we have waited till the last 2 days to sign a cm or last day striker. This has been apparent all season we needed to strengthen these positions, what with the injury to Gibson and the form of jelavic. Look at the RS in desperate need of a striker and got him in, in the first week of the window. In contrast we have left it till the last minute, and only strengthened with a kid for the future.
