Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas has described the £1.5million deal for Lewis Holtby as the ‘bargain of the century’. He has also likened the German midfielder, signed this week from Schalke, to former Spurs favourite Rafael van der Vaart ahead of a possible debut against Norwich tonight.

Word from Amsterdam this morning seems to be zero chance Twente will budge. Arsenal, QPR and others rumoured as alternatives but nothing solid. Been told this morning that sense at EFC end is that Twente won't budge. Not dead yet but on life support.
