15M for Peter Crouch?

Tx mate your missing the point the r/s have to raise cash for their new ground and as a member of the mythical big four.all lesser clubs are duty bound to assist them hence £5million +Barry for Crouch. We already know Rafael is not from the real world as why else would he come up with all the [Poor language removed] does.If god forbid we were selling Crouch we would be lucky to see £5 mill. But if we accept the the fat waiters valuation then Arteta must be worth £20 mill and AJ must be worth at least the same as Crouch ,But lets see what the actual prices are when the deals are made.player plus cash deals always seem to be bigger than they are because the player going is over priced remember when we signed Latch and Styles and Howard went there the valuations of both were higher than we would have got if we had just been selling them.(y)

I wouldn't go over £8.5m, which seems about right for a British born striker unable to break into the fourth best team in the premier league.

I think Crouch is good, but not at all exceptional.

You talking about AJ or Crouch?

I know we won't get him anyway. But in my opinion(please don't throw anything at me) He would be perfect foil for Yak with our route one football when we are lazy. He seems to win everything from corners but has the ability to flick on to others. I don't think we will have much to spend and 15 million will be way out of our range for the bodies we need.

Mike have you ever watched Crouch head a ball? it hits him ask any red and they will tell you if he could learn to direct his headers he would be twice the player he thinks he is.

its like hitting a matchstick with a golf ball, somethings gonna get deflected and it aint the golf ball, maybe if he went down the pie shop and got a bit of meat on him he could put some force into a header, he's a barcode waiting to happen at that price , stripes on him will make him even thinner, at southampton he was like a barbers pole.

Maybe this year he has had a bad go of things and couldn't get started last year but watching a few MOTD and such he didn't look to bad late last year or his time at Southampton 16 in 33 games in 04/05 but I thought the same for one named James Beattie. I still have this feeling at 27 he is a still young enough to offer with a little guidance. My main point is our uncanny nature to bypass our flair palyers and throw ball into the box. Surely at 6'7" he would be useful.

...reminds me of the time I was playing golf on a links style course with very few trees.

My route to the flag on the 2nd shot was impeded by this newly planted sapling that couldn't have been more than 2 inches wide and about 10 yards in front of me.

Naturally I ignored it and concentrated on the flag.

Sure enough, I hit the tree square and the ball came right back and drilled me in the arm. Hurt like hell but more embarassing than anything. And of course it was the only "tree" on the hole.

But I digress.

as every golfer will tell yuo, you should've used your tree iron.........boom,boom

I think it was either my three or four iron. Either way, I couldn't have hit that tree again in 50 shots if I tried to.
