14 on the pitch - how many did anything good

Vlasic was at fault for the first 2 goals lol

I don't think any of them maybe barring Stek can claim they had anything other than a mare.

I don't remember Vlasic at fault for the 1st mate? Certainly could have defended better for the 2nd instead of showing him inside but unlike a lot if the absolute dross who went hiding tonight he kept going and for a younng kid he deserves a bit of credit imo for that

Holgate gave it a go. Stekelenberg played well. Sandro looked keen when he came on. Calvert-Lewin had no hope with zero support.

I don't actually blame the players though, most of them look like they have no idea what they are supposed to be doing.

we could have played all 14 at the same time and the result would have been the same. It looks to me like the players haven't got a clue what the plan is, where they should be, who has responsibility for what. Too many similar types of players. Decide on a best team, round pegs for round holes and rotate as and when necessary. Dont just play lots of samey type players because we spunked a load of cash on them,

Thought Sandro and Klaassen did okay-ish when they came on. Mirallas too for that matter. May be because Atalanta had taken their foot off the gas by that point.

Just about to set off to Milan Airport to fly home and I can tell you that not one player did a single thing to positively distinguish himself last night.

And for those who incessantly and blindly seek to justify Roomey's return/inclusion, may I quote Corriere dello Sport: 'Rooney no papu' - roughly translated as 'Rooney but a bean'.

The majority of the Evertonians who travelled out here had gone long before the final whistle and those who remained issued such a vicious chorus of boos and V signs that the players knew not to come over and patronise us with the usual, half-hearted, going through the motions acknowledgments. To his credit, Holgate ventured farthest, but he was the only one whose performance merited an average rating.

There is clearly something substantially wrong on more than one level to produce consistent levels of complete incompetence such as this.

To their credit, Atalanta were so up for it last night, and their support was fantastic from start to finish.

We, however, mirrored our national team: playing like total strangers with no leadership, game plan, collective discipline or any semblance of a will to win.

Whatever the odds are on Man Utd winning on Sunday, get them backed - it is an unrivalled money-making certainty!

That's down to the managers instructions isn't it??

Not sure the bolded bit is correct but, to be fair, I couldn't really see down into the lower section. Certainly, the anger was fierce and the booing (and abuse) was loud and sustained, with a few shouts of "Rhino".

Something that summed us up in the second half: Keane and Jagielka were fannying around with the ball at the back (I think in the end Keane played one of those aimless long balls into the channel) and you couldn't really blame them. Every other Everton player was walking or stood still, flatfooted, with an Atalanta player within two metres of them.

Compare that to most other PL teams and they at least attempt to pass at a good tempo and move into space and, if you are covered, you make an effort to get free.
