Holgate gave it a go. Stekelenberg played well. Sandro looked keen when he came on. Calvert-Lewin had no hope with zero support.
I don't actually blame the players though, most of them look like they have no idea what they are supposed to be doing.
Not sure the bolded bit is correct but, to be fair, I couldn't really see down into the lower section. Certainly, the anger was fierce and the booing (and abuse) was loud and sustained, with a few shouts of "Rhino".The majority of the Evertonians who travelled out here had gone long before the final whistle and those who remained issued such a vicious chorus of boos and V signs that the players knew not to come over and patronise us with the usual, half-hearted, going through the motions acknowledgments. To his credit, Holgate ventured farthest, but he was the only one whose performance merited an average rating.
