13 Reasons Why.. I want Sam as our manager

We're going to improve when McCarthy is fit and Schneiderlin gets dropped, we're going to improve when Seamie is fit, we're going to improve with Bolasie back in the team.... and Sam is going to get the credit for that.

On the plus side... the likes of Mirallas will finally be gone (don't get me wrong he's had his moments but he seems to have fallen out with every manager we've had at one stage or another).

I don't remember a gut-punch feeling like this since we sold Rooney.

OMG some people want blood, what on earth do you want him to do, not sign until after those players are back in the squad just so that he cant taken credit for it, I find this simply unbelievable, like when I divorced my wife and she got the house, I didnt want everyone to think she had bought the house all by herself, so what !!!!!!

And IIRC Mccarthy was never pulling up the roses and Bolassie was a bit hit and miss, Coleman yes, although he also had a few poor games, these players wont help us beat the drop if Sam doesnt sign.

What in the holy heck is that reaction about mate?

I personally don't want Sam as our manager - if we appoint him I'll get over that.... but I make a point about 3 players returning that will improve our team enormously in terms of effort and application (wouldn't have thought this about McCarthy weeks ago but seeing the absolute lack of fight from Morgan he needs time out of the team) and you throw a hissy fit as a result?

I don't have any expectation that Sam should point to returning players improving us... but yes returning players will improve us - I don't understand how that is such an 'unbelievable' thing to say. And yes, if our form takes an upturn after this - Sam will get the credit, this annoys me but absolutely nowhere did I suggest that is was his responsibility to abdicate himself from any praise he gets - that was just an invention of yours.

Your analogy is also complete nonsense and I've no idea how it applies here - every manager takes over a team that has been built by someone else.

Again - I made one point about 3 returning players that will improve us, that is all. I wasn't suggesting that this is a reason not to sign up Sam - just pointing out something that is true that i find irritating.

Fair point, bad day, I took it in the wrong context, I thought you were suggesting you were annoyed that Sam would take the credit for the improvement in the team after players returned. Apologies, everyone is entitled to their opinion on here.

No worries mate, and apologies if my response was bit harsh as well there. I think we're all just wound a bit tight at the moment! :)

I have to admire the optimism of those who assume that Coleman will automatically come back the same player after such a bad injury and that Bolasie will still have the same pace (his other attributes are still open to question) and that McCarthy will ever be fit enough to play two consecutive games. So the idea that Allardyce(insert name of other manager) will reap the rewards of their return is questionable to say the least.
