13 points out of 10 games

Honestly not expecting many points from the next upcoming games. 10 points from 13 is simply not good enough. I don't want to turn against Martinez but his style of play is starting to worry me. Not playing wingers properly and for a manager who stresses so much in passing has 2 holding midfielders who can't see a forward pass. Barry does occasionally but its not enough.

I said it yesterday we were better when stones was injured, I'm not saying he was that bad yesterday but the problem is now if he's off form he will play no matter what. Mori had surprised me and looks better than I thought he would be, but depending on Jags injury we may well see stones and Mori together for a few games. I'm disappointed that we conceded 2 very poor goals, we haven't won there in years and we go there looking like we are expecting to lose, we wouldn't have had to up our game to much yesterday to atleast get a draw but most of the time they looked resigned to losing. We did look better in the late 15 minutes but I still wasn't convinced that we would score.

Magic that isn't it,

The premier league is very tough, if we carry on like this we might be safe at Easter if we can get the same out of the next 20 games.

Let's hope the teams like Sunderland are as bad as we hope.

My point being, we are not as good as everybody seems to think we are.

Investing in youth is great, but we have dropped 17 points. If you are happy with that, good luck to you.
Don't worry we are.

The key is if we can string a few wins on the bounce together we can easily move up into contention for the 5th place trophy no problem, but you are right in saying we're not that good but I certainly doubt we'll be worrying about relegation. With a better keeper we could easily have an extra 3 points or so now and we could already be occupying that spot after a run of difficult games so it's not all bad.

We've played Arsenal, City, United, RS, Chelsea and Spurs in those 10, mate. Let's hold off a little longer before we start this kind of nonsense

This point doesn't stand up for me at all. West Ham, Leicester, Palace will all be equally as tough games as will others.

Anyone who thinks we will just blow these teams away is in for a shock, and the general consensus seems to be that we have had all of our tough fixtures for a while, well we clearly haven't.

To me people are just happy as we are playing better than last season, which in truth wouldn't be that difficult as the standards set then were pretty poor. If we had improved that much, we would have more than 13 points....it's a completely tepid start to the season that needs to improve massively, that's all I'm saying.

I though at the beginning of the season looking at these first ten games if we can be sat in mid table we would then have a great chance to "kick on" I stand by that, the last three games have dampened the enthusiasm down as after the first seven it was looking extremely bright, but I'd agree Sunderland is massive for us anything less than a win and the pressure will begin to mount on Martinez.

Some people need to get a grip! Our fixtures have been as tough as they come. There shouldn't be a meltdown after losing 2-1 away to an Arsenal side that has just beaten bayurn Munich 2-0.

I'll be surprised if we're not top 6 after 19 games. If we're not, it'll probably be Tim Howard's fault.

Considering the players that have been missing it's not so bad, but it does highlight our lack of strength in depth. The bad defending does suggest the lack of confidence in Howard, but I also think Jags has been guilty of lack of leadership in defence. This was proved by the improvement after his enforced replacement by Mori yesterday.

Yes we haven't got a great points return at present but we knew we had a tough start, next 4 games we have a chance of winning them all and should be looking at 7 points minimum from them. Considering the amount of injuries we have had to our defence I am fine with how we have played. The only games we weren't in it were being outplayed by City who were unstoppable that day and against United when the result didn't matter on such a huge day for our club.

Big week ahead, win the cup tie and our next league game and all of a sudden everything looking good again.

As disappointing as the last two to three games have been, I reckon a surge up the table will happen.

We are nowhere near as bad as last season - a couple of defensive/goalie errors aside yesterday, we actually attacked and went forward in spells albeit without success. That was absent last year.

Hit a little bad form at the moment, all is not lost - have a bit of belief.

slightly more than I thought, but at 1.3 per game over 10 games that's only 50Pts over 38
averaging 1.5 is 57pts. this is where I think we will be.
