Apparently Spurs and Villa were going to finish above us last season and they didn't. Spurs were even tipped for CL, and until Redknapp got there, they were relegation fodder.

I love you optimism (y) Tottenham will be good this year - Redknapp for a full year, he'll do good things.

Jose Baxter will do well this year. Rodwell and Gosling.

However, I expect Evertonians will once again say they are not ready.

So I will continue in my stream of optimism and show concern for Everton and not for Spurs.

But they aren't, and it's clear they aren't.

Actually, Gosling is sort of ready, he just isn't going to be the world beater like what everyone thought after he had his 30 seconds of fame v the RS.

Baxter 100% certainly isn't ready. No argument over that one to be honest.

Rodwell - Ideally I don't want him to be a constant fixture in our midfield, but if needs be, he's the one I'd feel most comfortable with.

The only thing I'm worried about with Rodwell, he could end up getting too many games before he's ready, and if he makes a few mistakes, his confidence could be shattered. We need to give him the odd game - shame we aren't in a position to even do this (n)

I was dreading Blackburn last year, but I'm quietly confident for Arsenal this year...

Howard
Hibbert Yobo Lescott Baines
Neville
Osman Fellaini Cahill Pienaar
Jo

Bench: Nash, Rodwell, Duffy, Gosling, Baxter, Saha, Vaughan.

There's not even any room to put our reserve team player-of-the-season Agard on the bench nor Wallace! :-)

Centre back more likely! If Lescott goes he could start there against the Arse!

Interestingly, he is classed as a CB in the Times Fantasy League game, do they know something?

I put Duffy on bench, as he's been in Northern Ireland squad and from what I'v seen looks better than Rodwell at CB... Rodwell is better in DM.

My sources say sometime in September for Arteta, last word I heard, Anchiebe wasnt improving as he should have been, think there was a minor problem, so cant say.

Certainly far more concerned with Arteta than Anichebe although thought I heard some clamoring for giving Vic a shot at playing right winger?
