“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

Were you looking forward to watching exciting, dynamic football under Marco Silva only to be left disappointed and frustrated?

Don't fancy watching Big Fat Sam's Hoof 'Em Up survival scramble?

If you've left supporting Everton as a result of the current shambles, why not make the sensible move and come across to the Gold and Black? Beautiful Hertfordshire, where the breezes ruffle the tree leaves, birds sing, the most beautiful women live and where the horizon holds a thousand marvels.

Come on in! The football's fine!

You KNOW it makes sense.

There's no 'project' at Burnley. They are at the pinnacle currently in terms of where they can get to as a club, and the only way is down. I don't mean to be disrespectful saying that, simply that the infrastructure, finances and support aren't there for Burnley to become a superpower. I would put good money on it that Dyche would jump while his stock is high rather than wait for it to slump when Burnley return to 10th-15th and eventually he gets relegated and nobody wants him anymore.
I think you'd have to admit Burnley,Brighton,Watford etc are more like projects than we are at the moment.

I wish people would stop using that Phrase of guarantee to stay up, everyone's luck runs out eventually, every team that has hovered over the trap door eventually went through it, he may give us a better chance but it's definitely

Yes remember than all fires don't get put out all the time before the building burns down, his luck at some stage is going to run out
Thats true and something we have to face up to.Nothing in the game is guaranteed, but if we don't sort someone out soon it could end up being too late whoever it is.

Sam Allardyce as manager honestly makes me a bit queasy... but I will love Everton FC forever regardless of managers, owners or players - the club is more than that.

Not at all. We're having a nightmare, but there's no reason why the right manager and some shrewd purchases in January can't see us flying up the league. The teams you mention are doing very well, but they wouldn't be the first teams to nosedive after hitting a rough patch. This is a very concerning time to be an Everton fan, but some of the over the top reactions are cringeworthy. This season looks like being a disappointment, but there's absolutely no reason why it has to be a disaster.

Problem is we are so bad at the moment that the only manager who would take us on would only be coming for the pay day (enter Sam).As for the January window, the Koeman pay off and potencial Allerdyce signing fee might have blown a rather large hole in that budget.

Just looked at his points per game ratio at WHU, SAFC and CP in the PL and extrapolated it to where we currently find ourselves (very rough calculations I know)

The final points totals would be 42, 38, 43, 41, 43.

Not good enough.

Your still missing my point. I’ll try to make it more clear:

Bob: I’m not going to support Everton anymore.
Kevin: Bob doesn’t support Everton anymore.
Stan: HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE BOB OF NOT SUPPORTING EVERTON?!...

How about this being clear enough

Bob. I still support Everton but Im not going the match anymore.

Kevin. Bobs not going the match anymore so he cant be an Everton supporter.

Stan. In that case the other 90% of Evertonians that dont go the match cant be called supporters either.

Kevin. No thats ok.

Stan. You 're talkin through your arse mate.

Totally agreed that we need someone as soon as possible but everyone in the media and a lot of our fans seem to think it's a guarantee that we will be saved from relegation if big Sam gets it, nothing in life is guaranteed except the normal 2 things that quote ends in

I am fully aware of our current standing in the game thanks mate and I made no mention of being a 'big' club.
You say "we will never be bigger than last seasons top 6" Really? If you truly believe that, then why bother? What would be the point?
Things can and do change over time. During my life time Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Man City have all been far lower than we are now.
My point is that appointing Allardyce would show a lack of desire or ambition to ever be a top club again. It would be conceding defeat and lamely accepting mediocrity. THAT would shame me.
We need to aspire to be winners even when we are at our lowest ebb. Not only can things change, but they can change fast. Do you remember the utter misery of 1994? If so then presumably you also remember the couple of seasons that followed it.

Take your "we will never be bigger than last seasons top 6" and stick it where the sun don't shine

Maybe never is the wrong word but it will be very difficult to be bigger then the current top 6. Since Man City were taken from the gutter to the top, the old sky 4 and spurs and city, made the rest of the league agree that another Man City cannot happen. You are only allowed to spend what you earn. The current top 6 are on tv more than us and they soon will want more money than everyone else. They all have or will have bigger grounds than us and bring in more money. We spent a lot of money this season and achieved nothing. We are the 2nd worse team if not worst team in the league. We need Big Sam just to steady the ship and get the new ground created. Just look at preseason and the teams we play and the teams the top 6 play. We are hardly on tv for preseason. The more money we bring in the more we can spend. All the top teams have or will have 60,000 seat stadiums - can we even fill a 50,000 stadium. These are the facts. Everyone wants a winning team.

The owners of Man City had three teams to choose from, Man City, Villa and Everton - they chose city as they felt they were the better option. Look at our history and the history of Man City - we win hands down but we never got picked.
