“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

I get that he's a crook, but that hardly sets him apart in the world of football does it? I'm not doing cartwheels at the prospect but I do think a few of us need to get a grip, it's delusional to the point of sounding like a Kopite. In the last 50 years we've had two spells of top class football and success, otherwise we have been pretty mediocre, since when did we become the standard bearers for footballing morality (which is an oxymoron by the way)? The game is riddled with crooks, it attracts them like a magnet and we are (and have been) no different. Stay away if you want, it will be easier to park, but if you think appointing Sam represents a new low you're mistaken.

That was one season,Fat Sam got Bolton into Europe.Every manager has one. After watching this group I'm only concerned with EFC being a Premier League side next season. After his recent work at Palace,Sunderland and WHU Sam looks the man for the job.Time will tell.

Yet not one West Ham fan i know would have had him back at their club, or Newcastle one either, does that not tell you anything about how he is regarded at nearly every club he has been at?

So if you discount Celtic as in your words - "as it's of little signifiance", Martin O'Neill has won;

There's a lot to beat Sam Allardyce with, but advocating Martin O'Neill as a better option because he's "won more" is bonkers when what he's won as a manager is 2 league cups - one 17 years ago.

Whats allardyce won in the same time period mate, do tell?

what has everton won in the same time period since O'Neill won the league cup?

Is anyone advocating for him, or are they rather saying that Allardyce is NO better an option than o'neill, in order to show the absurdity of this hue and cry to get allardyce in as our last best hope...

I can't turn my support for Everton on and off like a tap... sadly I'm too far gone to ever rid myself of this particularly painful addiction. But I can stop going to the time, trouble and expense of attending live games. So I'll watch on TV, I'll want them to win but I won't be back at Goodison whilst he is here. Basically I'll support my team at the level most of my Red friends consider the norm.

We have took managers from in my lifetime (that I can remember) (42 years):
Norwich
Oldham
Sheff utd
Scotland (out of work former Rangers Manager)
Preston
Wigan
Southampton

Where do we get off turning our nose up at Big Sam? Let me be honest I don't want the fella and the thought of him managing Everton is horrible, but we have never in my life time gone out and got a big name manager (Koeman was a big name player not manager) in fact our Manager searches have always been laced with embarrassing names, so why do we suddenly think we are entitled to one and should be aiming for top European names?
Until we clear out Kenwright and co and we really see what Moshiri is made of?(and we still have no clue apart from rumours and Jim white), then this is our level, horrible but true.
Big Sam's army! Whoop di FK-in do!

It is a matter of choice for everybody, but if we start winning games again Goodison will be full no matter who the manager is.

Personally I don't understand the hatred against Allyrdyce in that I don't believe that he is any more corrupt than an awful lot of other people in a business completewly dictated by money.

I have read so many posts on here that I consider strange.
We want NSNO but we want it in a certain way. We want to be the boy scouts of the Premiership but also one of the bullys at the same time.

I am gutted we are getting him but what makes it worse are fans that say guaranteed staying up with him. He is horrible he will be on a massive contract, Walsh gets to stay on, Shakespeare will be on big money. I can’t be happy seeing him in our dugout. His football is trash I remember when we use to play Bolton I hated watching them games all they did was foul and hoof the ball. I am fuming at how bad the board have messed this up. The biggest mistake was not replacing Lukaku and up until deadline day Koeman was saying we need a striker and a left back then on deadline day Moshiri goes on ssn and says we will go with what we have got. Now look what we have got

I know two Happy Hammers who would, footballs all about opinion.Would you have preferred Moyes?

But even more than that, why on earth does our view of managers seem to revolve around ones based or who have managed within 100 odd miles of Goodison before.

Over Allardyce then probably yes mate, and here's the funny thing, everyone calling for Allardyce is bricking it because West Ham are coming to our place - managed by ... errrm Moyes?
I've a feeling most would still be "bricking it" if West Ham had no manager.
