As I said I’d like him to fail but that would mean Everton failing as well
So I want Sam to succeed so Everton do as well , but I don’t want him here long term
I think it's fair to say I don't like the guy (as a person), and I can't see me changing my opinion on that any time soon. But for me there are only two possible outcomes that will be acceptable and I just hope one of them happens.
Firstly, that I am completely wrong about Allardyce (the manager), and he does indeed prove to be the right person to take us forward, regularly competing for top 4 finishes, playing winning entertaining football, and an occasional cup success. This would naturally be my first choice as I support the team, not the manager.
Secondly, that Allardyce has a mediocre season, finishing mid table but comfortably clear of the relegation zone. The board decide he isn't the man they want, dispense with his services and look for a new manager they believe can take us forward (as above). Provided he hasn't wasted too much money in the transfer market (unlike his predecessor), then his short duration as manager wouldn't have done too much damage.
Anything else is a no from me. The thought of him actually failing fills me with dread.
