“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

It's a panic move by a club that seem to have lost all grasp on good management. The fact that we sacked Koeman without a replacement lined up is mind-boggling enough, but to then replace him with a man with a much inferior record would stretch incredulity to its limits. The fact that the bloke has turned us down once already adds insult to injury. It's a shambles. An utter bloody shambles.

It's horrendous. If they wanted him (and they never should have), don't go to someone that corrupt and so painfully average in an even bigger position of weakness than you were six weeks ago. He's a dreadful manager, his record is horrendous.

Everton have killed me with the Allardyce apointment!

Would you stay with your bird if she was having a go on half of Liverpool? Nope you would bin her off!

If this goes through im seriously considering binning Everton off

I will stop going, stop watching them on TV until he is gone.

Morally this is NOT an everton appointment, i would prefer even o'Neil to the fat currupt mess that is "Big Sam" Allardyce

The media have handilly forgotten about all the stuff with England with his mates in the media just skating over the reasons he has left and the state he has left EVERY club in

I bet he reads the sun aswell

Oh yes, happy to have an exclusive Q and A session hosted by those rat infested sweats while he was at Sunderland.

No limits for that crook.

Sorry mate but that just reads as confirmation of the mess he leaves while exonerating him from any blame. I know loads of Sunderland and I'm sure you recall some were even calling for his head in February. It was only from March you looks remotely like staying up.

I know what you're saying but the calls for his head were a minority. Most, knew (even when he had a poor run of form) that we had to stick with him.

You're right, he made mistakes, of course he did. I myself, was dubious of some of his tactical changes, but overall, most could see the progress we were making under him and it paid off (In the end). Some of the player situations you eluded to (Kone for example) would have become transparent regardless of who come in, he had him playing at the top of his game. Then, you were rumored to be in for him, then before that 'situation' could be resolved, he left for the England job.

What can't be disputed, was that we stopped shipping goals, we looked more of a unit, players that had previously been written off came back in to the fold and contributed.

We were a mess before he come in. It would be virtually impossible for him to sort all of our huge list of problems out. Overall, when you ask Sunderland fans of our time under big Sam, would say, he's the best manager we've had for a lengthy period.

I wish I could be so optimistic Mikey. Firstly, I'd be amazed if he only came here for six months. If he keeps us up I'm almost certain he'll be offered the following season as well, but even if he wasn't, imagine the conversation we'd have going to a decent manager with them knowing full well that we were so desperate as a club, so mired in [Poor language removed] that we had to turn to a chancer like Allardyce to dig us out of it. Any manager worth their salt will laugh at the suggestion of following that.

If he's here for longer than 6 months then my attitude is strikingly different

6 months and he gets us safe, fine. I'll grit my teeth and get on with it

If he's signed to a multiple year contract then I'll be fuming along with mostly everyone else

Let the hate flow Mikey, it'll be a 3 year deal.

That's harsh.

He'll be here longer than 6 months I fear mate.
We're in such a mess, he's calling all the shots.
We're in such a mess that he's just had to sit back, bide his time, knowing we'd go crawling back to him.
I'm not even angry with him, I'm angry with a board who've let us decay so badly that he's the only viable option, and the only one who even wants the job.
"Things will never be the same" is spot on, it's got even worse.

Martin O'Neill has won way more than Allardyce can ever dream of.
