£63M for Franck Ribery

Barca are also said to be interested in him. As he traditionally plays right wing I can only see United getting him if Ronaldo leaves.

Inevitable.

I dont see what improvement he'd have to offer Barca down the right flank to be honest!

Where's Ronaldo going to go? Real Madrid? They are so **** at the moment, any "world class" player would waste their time going there. When the RS turn you over big time, you know you aint a "world class" team any more.

And £63mill. Not even Manure can afford that IMO.

To do that, they would have to sell Ronaldo for £80million.

I imagine he'd play down the left, replacing Henry. Barca like their wide attackers to cut in, so typically play a right footer on the left and a left footer on the right.

A lot of talk about their front free for next season being Ribery - Villa - Messi.

Big ask for any of them to improve upon what Henry - Eto'o - Messi have done this year.

Despite what they say it'll come down to wages offered at the end of the day. If he does go to Barcelona someone's going to get a good acquisition in Henry when he moves on. Even at 32 he's some player.

In that sense it's puzzling. But Real are still the glamour club on the continent and would priovide a massive platform for Ronaldo to project his image from. And let's gface it, they're never in the doldrums for too long are they?

I agree. Henry has looked back to his best this season. He'll still do a good job for whatever team he ends up at.

I've seen quite a bit of bundesliga footie this season and Ribery has predominantly played on the left wing, others like Bastian Schweinsteiger have played on the right side. He would fit in perfectly where Henry currently plays, cutting in on his right foot as Messi does his left. Henry is getting older and hes already played over 40 times this season. Barca may look to strengthen his position but will they bring someone in while they have Hleb, Gudjohnsen, and youngsters like Bojan Krkic and co. coming through?

Nani hasn't lived up to expectation and Ribery would fit perfectly in the United first 11. I don't imagine Giggs will play too many times next season either.

think bruce waynes spot on.

He's an excellent player but yeesh! This is why a new stadium won't make us more competitive. If Man Utd can pay 63M for what will prob be only their 4-6th best player how can you compete with that?

Plus I think he might have trouble beating out Park for the starting RW postion.
