Maybe it's us who are deliberately stalling. As in, the lad wants to go and Swansea are resigned to losing him but want a top end deal which is much more than we would want to pay. So we put the brakes on and let the Swans sweat it for a while. Do they want a disaffected player only a week before the season starts and only 3-4 weeks before the end of the transfer window closes leaving them with little or no time to find a replacement or do they bite the bullet and sell now at a price we find more to our liking?
Me think there a game of brinkmanship afoot and it's us who now hold the all the aces.
