David Moyes: Everton Manager & Tactical Discussion
David Moyes returned to Everton in January 2025, marking a second tenure for the man who famously coined
the term "The People's Club." After a trophy-winning spell at West Ham, Moyes was appointed by The Friedkin Group to provide stability during the club’s historic move to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
With over 500 games managed across his two spells, the Scotsman remains one of the most experienced figures in Premier League history. This hub serves as the primary destination for all David Moyes discussion, covering his tactical "pragmatic modernism," recent match results, and his long-term vision for the Blues' future.
Share your thoughts in the Everton Forum on his latest team selections and substitution windows on the Grand Old Team forums.
Right as this drags on. Lets keep all this talk of a contract in one thread. This one.....

He is on the radio nearly every Saturday in Ireland on TodayFM.They give live commentary on a premiership game and up to date reports on all the others.
Lawrenson is on most Saturdays and is generally very sensible in his comments.

Interesting. You can get STV on Sky, and it'll be online as well. ITV are showing it, but they'll have Dixon & Keane etc. and not...
Title says it all,
41 points, Officially safe. What will Moyes next aim be?
he is always very cautious in setting aims, will be great to hear what he has to say next.
Any other Chairman would have already made a shortlist of replacements. Its his responsibility at this stage to do so.
I'd be sad to see him go, but we'd move on.
I doubt Kenwright has even considered replacements.
But we can speculate can't we.
Laudrup would be good for us...
Moyes was cherried picked from managing championship/league 1 club preston.
if moyes went in the summer would you want us to go british or foreign considering the squad.
i dont think there is anyone amazing out there with prem exp perhaps somone in the lower leagues like a gus poyet? sean...
We all have our most disliked players that have played for Everton over the years including the infamous Brett Angel... But this is a more modern era poll specifically underneath Moyes' era... My personal pick is Steven Naimsith
Because it's one of those arguments that never go away.
Around 200 players in the history of Everton FC have made 100 or more competitive appearances for the club so had really cemented themselves in the first team for a concerted period of time. Of those 200, 51 or about a quarter were home...
I've been thinking lately which has been or potentially could have been Moyes best ever XI with the players that have played under him here. Anyway here is my one:
.....................Howard...................
Jagielka.....Stubbs.......Lescott....Baines...
Was sat in the stand at the Etihad until 78th minute versus Watford.....sat next to a bloke from work who's been following City for over 50 years. Must've been watching a City player I guess....maybe last check on Lescott?
Apologies if already posted elsewhere.
Sounds like a couple loan deals and whatever is left after Heitinga is sold, if he is sold.

Seems like we're limited, about as much as many of us thought.
