Was at the store yesterday looking out over the wall from the 1st floor. Couldn't help but be underwhelmed at the prospect of a giant white marquee taking up such a prime location, which is directly facing central. No idea what I'd propose as an alternative, mind, but a dirty tent after a year...

I read somewhere that they'd use a white vinyl wrap on the current blue seats and it would be happening. Maybe they're waiting until the interior roof steel is finished (sanded and re-painted as the sheets over the seats suggest). But who knows...

Looks great. I wonder if there's a way to get a seamless finish instead of multiple bright spots, though - like putting a diffuser on them the same way you do with an LED strip. However, the spots do lend themselves to the early descriptions of a spaceship landing on top of the building!

North doesn't seem to have any windows at the concourse level, whilst the windows on display in the West Stand are corporate.

I suspect he means overcrowding in particular areas. For example, the majority of people (at least early on) may make their way to the South Stand for the views etc...

So, in essence, and as it stands, and even if the entirety of seats within the stadium were converted to standing, the capacity would not increase? In other words, even with any amount of standing, our capacity is limited to 52,888 given our 750mm tread?

If the 2:1 standing rule was granted today, would the space/dimensions allow for it as it stands? Seen some say it would and some say it wouldn't. Also, does the potential 60k (with standing) figure the club stated a while back apply to the current standing sections, or would more standing...

There were never boxes planned there... the north stand tiers overlap due to literally running out of space and not being able to build any further back, as it goes right up to the site border. That's also why it's that funny shape, as if they added any more rows it would breach United Utiliy's...

The first design is all seated, and the club wanted to implement a standing section, which needs to have a riser behind, or else the people sitting behind the standing section in the first few rows wouldn't see the pitch. Not sure what the regulations are, but I would have made the whole stand...

Yes, I'm pretty sure that the whole stand is a single gradient, even with the riser (unless this has changed since the original documents?)
