Seat Unique

Everton are selling tickets to seat unique and other parties at inflated prices, who then inflate the Price more to silly levels so nobody buys the tickets.
Every game at the new stadium has been a sell out but still loads of tickets available?
The touts have won the battle for tickets but maybe they’ve chosen the wrong audience?
IF that`s the case the club have basically decided if you can`t beat them, join them. They were not happy with folks selling their tickets at inflated prices for certain big games and so have made it very much harder for fans to do so, and to pass tickets for game to friends by introducing the digital ticketing.

They're replicating what happens at pop concerts these days. The ticketing companies apply a lot of fees and upsell popular tickets, and then the revenue is split between the venue and the ticketing company. Personally I have a ceiling price and won't pay more, but it's supply and demand. I do think the owners have underestimated the number of supporters we have though.

Seat Unique have obviously contracted with Everton a number of seats across all ticketing levels and paid a premium, they then add on their margin for the sell on to fans. If they don't sell, they will take the hit on that ticket rather than send them back to the club. Considering this is a multi sport, multi concert business, not shifting 50 seats at an Everton game is not going to massively dent their profit. What they will be doing though is monitoring the sales and if they have oversubscribed the ticket numbers with everton, they’ll revise the numbers they buy up and that will make more available for sale through EFC. Supply and demand.

Just to add my own thoughts. Our major sponsors will be given a certain number/ block of seats to use at their leisure. I know Hill Dickinson certainly have a specific number as part of their deal. Whether they are able to ultimately distribute all of these for every game I don't know, but i expect that this will contribute to some of the empty seats we are seeing.

We'll find out when we play the shabite at BMD

Exactly this. Provided no away fans get into home sections (will.be the test) and no laws are broken then the club are only ever going to follow this route. Sad maybe but inevitable

Went on seat unique to look at getting tickets to take the mrs for the first time.
Some of the prices for the bigger games are truly eye watering. Full blown holiday money.
As said above....how would you know you'd not be surrounded by away fans and get a kicking when when we leap up when we score.
Seriously, must be a kick in the nuts for people paying 60 quid for the ballot when there are crap loads for sale on there.
I know, i know..."It's good for the clubs finances" but they are milking it both ways here.🤬
One of the fathers of our lads football team got a kicking Saturday by 3-4 louts outside one of the lounges for asking them to tone down the swearing with children around , broken arm and 2 ribs stewards didn’t even notify the police ,chap said the 4 didn’t have scouse accents

It depends on what you class as "inflated prices". Its not likely that seat unique will have paid per seat what a regular person would have paid for each of those seats. They would have presented a price to the club based on other football clubs they represent and if the club had a starting point of £90 per seat, Seat Unique would have paid £60 per seat, based off the idea that from the clubs perspective, they get all the money upfront for thousands of seats for every home game and don't have to sell the tickets.

Then Seat Unique sell those tickets for £120 each or more, so if they sell half of them they break even. The club and seat unique are happy, the only ones that are not, are our fans because we see the empty seats and we know there are people who would have bought them if they were a reasonable price or if they knew about seat unique

The owners in situ currently are not the same as the ones petitioned to make BMD 60k.

There are opposing business reasons, build it 53k and have constant demand, so every ticket is a hot ticket and there's always a draw vs build it 60k and just about sell out say half the fixtures for the season*. (*this last part is pure guesswork).

We're a month into having the new ground proper, the support is still settling in and the accountants are analysing the revenue streams*. A lot of the teeth grinding reminds me of the transfer thread, the "I want it now" attitude of signings made is echoed in the expectation for perfection at BMD. Tempering expectation is not many football fans primary thought.

Let's compare for example, 'club wembley', every blue ribband event is a fiasco because the primo half way line seat block is empty 10 minutes before HT and 20 minutes after the SH kicks off, the brass in those seats are busy filling their faces with canapes and champagne. They're not sports fans, they're there to network and rub shoulders with other business persons.
This is modern sport now, Bill got pelters for his stories about the boys pen, but those generations are starting to dry up, soon there will be even fewer that remember terrace standing and the surge of the crowds. Football was killed when it became all seater, the pasteurised, homogenised, sanitised product on offer since doesn't have anything in common with the roots of where the modern game grew from. Money, and greed, and the cut throats of the common person that used to be allowed an interest. That's the spectacle now, a perversion.

Happy new season 2025-26 everyone.

Well that definitely needs to be taken up with the club, and especially the stewarding bit.

The other point is, I've not a Scouse accent, the last time I checked, I wasn't anywhere nr hospitality Saturday, but it doesn't mean they weren't Everton fans. But I get what you're saying.

Isn't the new ground swimming in cctv? No phantom headlocks round these parts... We'll have no trouble here!

Unacceptable inside a ground. Truly hoping this is being fully investigated. Seems incredible it's possible🤬
