The only way to get rid of illegal ticket reselling is to close down the touts profit margins. In my view that is what companies like seat unique and dynamic pricing is doing. If people are prepared to pay top whack for a ticket then so be it but the club or its authorised agents should have control. Also when you are buying from an illegal tout you have a high chance of being scammed where through seat unique you know it's a genuine ticket.
I was chatting to a guy at the airport on the way over. He was a City fan going over for the derby but was heading to Hill Dickinson to see the Villa game as well. He had paid well over €700 for a seat at our place through Stubhub.
Wonder what his reaction was on the 0-0 draw, presumably he was only there for the experience

Oh dear, I was hoping that with a bigger ground more blues would be at the match rather than tourists there for "the experience".
I think it was clear that a bigger, brand new ground was going to equal a massive increase in premium hospitality? I'm amazed that so many folk are suprised.

I know what you mean & it does help the club moneywise, they will probably be just sitting in silence though. Just my opinion.
I mean alot of the folk that have been watching Everton for decades sit in silence...or just pure fume / moan. I would imagine some new blood would not go amiss. I don't imagine we get that many tourists in the true sense of the word as the football on offer has been pants. Just mainly everton fans that cant go that often due to moving away from the area etc. The tourists and glory hunters tend to go where they can watch attractive footie. I imagine if we start to improve on the pitch the true tourist will arrive although fortunatly or unfortunately (from a revenue point of view) i don't think we are one of the fasionable clubs to support.

Yes, on reflection you're right.
Quite, we've landed a 53k stadium next to the liner landing and are advertising the events (which will only gather in frequency from next summer onward) on the front foot. Mr and Mrs world cruise aren't bothered about a few thousand bucks chucked around here and there, it's about the experience and enjoying the best of what they can get.
There's a lot being made of gaps in the seats, corporate allocations are bought up so the execs at Jaguar Land Rover can take whichever business associate out on the town for a meal and a few drinks, it's all part of the romance of getting business done. You bet your bottom dollar that the gaps seen so far will not be there for the premium* fixtures (see scab six*).
There's moaning being done on here, for moanings sakes. He was mithering about stewarding and police presence at the boundary between the away fans yesterday and then dropped it instantly when that little fact got pointed out.

Which is just corporate speak for ticket touting. Instead of "Dave from Huyton" who charges a fortune for Everton/Oasis/Taylor Swift tickets it's "Tyler from Palo Alto". The main difference is that Everton/Oasis/Taylor Swift get a cut of the action and the police leave "Tyler" alone.

A lot of the away ends will be comps for sponsors too that the away club will have given away as its a new stadium
