Someone at work told me yesterday that Moyes had been at a golf day and had said really good things about him after a day or two of seeing him in training. Take that with a pinch of salt, but would seem to corroborate that

Not really - I'm not sure Moyes was 100% sold on him (nor am I) and I think there's a reasonable chance we bought him simply because the price made sense and we will be able to sell at a profit in 12 months
