2025/26 Jordan Pickford

Almost want Tuchel to dare to play either back up in the games over the next few days just to put the debate to bed once and for all that Jordan is, was and always will be Ours and England’s true number one

Undoubtedly an Everton legend. Just a fantastic keeper. He has part of Big Nev’s amateur type ethos/spirit/love of the game as a past time too (ironically as Jordan, as was Nev, is the absolute consummate professional and top of his class like Nev).

He's never gonna be classed as play out from the back keeper , plus his kicking upfield can also be questionable.

But he has gone about his business quietly & very effectively.
He's seen off every keeper thats been pushed to challenge him in the Premier league.
But without doubt he's been the best Goalkeeper & Shot stopper in the Prem for years & no sign of him slacking off.

New contract....get it done.

We owe the lad ( and obviously us fans ) a proper run in Europe and some form of trophy.
The lads a legend and has never questioned his position with us, he could be playing year on year out in Europe, and also have trophies to his name..

Thats what playing for this club does to certain players...

2 stadiums, a massive part in making that move still in the premiership, and saving the first penalty ( plus a clean sheet )

Love him 💙

Talking about Dean Henderson on sky earlier, just getting stupid now..

This summer started off with Trafford shouts, now Donnarumma has gone to city, they've jumped back to Henderson..

When will they learn, you question pickford and your hopeful replacement just vanishes out of the limelight..

Ramsdale
Pope
Trafford
Henderson ( tell them to shut up and save your career )
Bored by it now also have clowns like caragher on sky saying similar about pickford. Not even worth it anymore the everton fans all kno the truth. Says it all when a gk has a song from the fanbase

….i think he’s the epitome of the modern day keeper. Bit of an ‘Everton Da’ on this because I prefer old school keepers who command their box but I’ve grown to really liking Pickford and grateful for the key role he’s played in helping maintain our top flight status during some of our darkest days.

He’s a top keeper.
He's a fantastic shot stopper maybe atm the best in the prem ,but as I have always stated not a complete keeper who cannot control his box in the air - he flaps punches seldom catches a ball under pressure from corner or any dangerous crosses etc -
Saying that he has been working hard on that part of his game -
Then like @davek stated his kicking - he is either great at it or erratic particularly passing the ball out short with a player having an opposition player marking him tight -
He has never been a complete all round keeper, bet definitely one of three greatest shot stoppers in the Prem.
He is rightly England's no 1 keeper- plus one could argue our defence so far this season has not helped him eg - Wolves had 3 shots in 90 minutes & scored 2 - not down to Pickford definitely our defence -:plus he jade a good save to give us the win that should have been a formality at 3- 1 up!

Wouldn’t swap him for any keeper in the league
I’m glad to see that the nickname ‘T-Rex Arms’ is long forgotten in the past…
T Rex Arms.webp

Easily one of the best keepers in the PL.

I agree he isn't a passing keeper but i think you are under selling him with his feet, he is better than a lot of keepers.

He has also not had as many problems with crosses the last two years and definitely improved his punching.

He has consistently improved on his deficiencies and that has been what has made him better and better. Maybe now with less hoofball happening we will see changes in his passing habits.

His kicking has gone backwards for me. No idea what his thought process is with half of them. Seems to have lost control over the power.
