Just read an interview with Neil Warnock who said that he recommended Adam Wharton to Eveton under Sean Dyche before he left Blackburn Rovers for Palace.

Wonder why we didn't move for him. Appreciate at that time we were financially hamstrung but we were making some signings and he only went to Palace in Feb 2024 for £18 million.

Did we go for someone else or did Dyche simply not fancy him?

I imagine Dyche having to slash the budget rather than massively increase it may have something to do with it.
