But he's 18. At 20 players like David Beckham and Harry kane were sent out on championship loans. It's far more important at that age to get a full (or near enough) season of competitive football than some high quality training sessions

My main argument send youg promising lads out in to a lower league club & in bold this is what can happen to any promising talent we have on our books .....

I read with add on's he cost £15 million - anyway Thelwell seems to rate him - I have posted since his injury he looked a bit lightweight for the prem - TBF he never got a run out much for us did he ?

I'm in the loan isn't a bad thing camp. One thing I fully agreed with Martinez in, was his statement that prospects need competitive football to develop.

He may blossom into a coveted talent at the heart of our side. He may be another Kieren Dowell.

DM admitted he was very impressed with Harrison Armstrong - then sends him on loan - I will continue to argue its a bad move by DM ....

I think there is some conflation of causation and correlation there. Ypu could start saying they shouldn't train, play u21 games or go on holiday by that logic
