Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Seems our bright, shiny, brand new stadium that glistens on the backdrop of the Merseyside Riviera, hasn't achieved the necessary pull we thought we'd get in attracting players.
If at the end of last season youd have said we would be playing this season with grealish and dibling on the wings id have said 0% chance of that happening. So i’d say the pull is the strongest it’s been in years.

Calvert to barry
Lindstrom to dibling
Harrison to grealish
Doucoure to dewsbury hall

We are a good starting rb, dm and another forward away from this being an incredible window in my opinion and the strongest squad in years.

Unfortunately we aren’t going to cover everything in one transfer window, we will be at close of this window be a far stronger team than at the start of it and for once actually buying potential big stars in the future rather than big fees big wages for players that will have no value or stuck paying wages till they leave on a free.

Im happy with the business so far anyway and hope we improve even more.

That's ridiculous though, those 9 goals come at the cost of other things though, such as being turn apart on the counter as they had a huge Soucek shaped hole at DM when he's caught ball side.

Why is there absolutely zero other interest in him besides from his former manager, given west ham are having a fire sale?

Surely 9 goals from midfield should have him in huge demand?

Sorry mate - do you want to show me were those 9 goals and goals concededed correlate.

His strongest critics here are saying he’s responsible for almost all WHU goals - thats ridiculous, he’s not even playing as midfield sweeper for them.

Also last season doesn’t exist in a microcosm he’s been part of the team that had his them to Europe most seasons and went on to win a European trophey. We defo don’t need players with that on their CV here. Legs gone and finished with just the 9 PL goals last season…..I’ll take my chances.

I dont get your point mate - he made a decision to drop him, got himself almost into a relegation battle, had to bring him back in and they got some wins! ;)

Sorry mate, but that's rubbish. When Potter dropped him west ham were on 34 points, Ipswich on 17, so 17 clear of Ipswich in 18th. With 9 games left.

When he was recalled west ham were on 36 points, Ipswich on 21, so 15 points clear of Ipswich with 5 games left.

So when he was recalled it was when they actually were mathematically safe, not as you said - slipping into a relegation battle.

But their form was in the toilet and their form was relegation form no?

Enter Soucek.
