I have one golden ruleRelieved that my belief in patience and optimism might be starting to look a bit more justified. Couple more quality signings in relevant positions and weāre looking good to go - couple of weeks late like, but when signing up to double figures was expected.
Sorry about the slightly shouty post late night earlier in the week though lads. In my defence, I was quite drunk. Elton levels drunk. But my heart was in the right place, probably.
Unless you put the pieces in place with a type of manager that the structure will support. Building a club that gets the best from the man, who in turn gets the best from his squad. ?Bruce Ricoh somehow butchered Bergkamp, perfect example of how bad management can hamper talent, he was about to be bombed out before Wenger arrived.
If you believe in a philosophy/project you have to commit totally - Iām not sure itās possible these days, the role of a manager now is so diluted rightly or wrongly. They donāt really get to build clubs these days.
Itās takes a lot of bravery by a club and manager, to change the DNA identity of the club that way.
May I please settle with Belinda? Cheers, in advance. As Belinda Carlisle said, āwe dream the same dream, we want the same thingā!
Iād settle for stability this year but I agree with you.
I have mentioned Fredrup on here before. He is a really good player who seems to win every challengeLike
Me too and absolutely agree. Surprised that he has not been picked up by a top team. I think he would adapt well to the Prem and would improve us immediately.I have mentioned Fredrup on here before. He is a really good player who seems to win every challenge
Jesus.Catterick , Kendall , Martinez and Silva .
All coached excellent football .
We were nicknamed the āSchool of Science ā
Not the ā Academy of Hoof! ā
This is why I hate him most , his long tenure
has altered our DNA , not just how other teams perceive us , but even how we perceive ourselves. A team of Grafters grinding out wins , while always playing underdog football , rarely proactive always reactive .
Was talking to my brother today and he asked is he fast - was a hard one to answer as he always seems to be positioned so he's not having to make up ground.I have mentioned Fredrup on here before. He is a really good player who seems to win every challenge
Was linked heavily with Benfica, Inter and Roma - for different reasons all 3 have gone with other options - weirdly enough he'd be a huge upgrade for united as well but they seem to be pursuing more hyped up players.Me too and absolutely agree. That it mate, to be fair Moyes 1.0 did it here, Ferguson did it at Utd and Wenger at Arsenal you build a club up from the ground. You rarely see it these days. Iriola and Emery are prob doing it in a smaller scale.
One of the problems under the last regime was a lack of commitment to a choherence to a particular, style or philosphey we went from Roberto to Koeman, to Allardyce to Silva, to Carlo to Benitez to Lampard to Dyche. Absolutely no coherence, consistency foresight or forward planning.
Be interesting to see what TFG approach will be, Moyes is a steadying stabilising hand - be interesting to see 2here they pivot with the next appointment, whether they want to build an Arsenal or Spurs or do we just want to exist in 5he middle of the food chain buying and selling. Actually think Moyes will be here for as long as he wants.
I got pioried on here for suggesting him mate , if I remember correctly
Think Arteta has done this at Arsenal, if you remember he we there pretty much the same e time we got Ancelotti.
Do you get any joy from watching Everton?Oh yeah there is other players I have liked, he isn't the only one lol but we have wasted an awful lot of money over the years.
TFG have no frame of reference with the PL, so Moyes is driving their vehicle, got them clear and with plenty of time and they've noted his success. That it mate, to be fair Moyes 1.0 did it here, Ferguson did it at Utd and Wenger at Arsenal you build a club up from the ground. Why do the good right backs have to be young ???Its a tough one i suppose. Whether to go for one of these big blokes like Onyedika, Ama Onana, Partey, Baleba etc
Or someone with a bit of silk and grit like Marc Casado from Barca. He's meant to be available for ā¬30mil.
Alternatively i really see Andrey Santos at Chelsea going to the top. Im sure they rate him too but they tend to sell certain players on who they got for 'low' fees.
Either of those two and I reckon we'd be laughing long term.
I'd say we could bring in Fofana if he doesnt get a big move by TDD. Sell McNeil whose not seemingly favoured by Moyes.
I think the good young right backs moved already, Kayode & Wesley. Not many good ones available now.
