Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

He’s a whole 12 years younger then Ashley Young mate, 8 then Seamus, you’d forgive me for not stressing too much about his age.

Humour me for a moment.

PSR. Young & Coleman resale = 0.

Next summer after spending a fortune this window...we want to spend again right?

What assets do we have to sell to generate money for PSR?

Now think which is best next summer, a 29year old Cash costing £20mil OR a top notch u23 right back costing the same.

That player could be sold in e.g 3 seasons at a profit if needs be. Thats an asset. Cash is a liability as his value drops.

We need assets or we'll be selling Branthwaite next summer, Harrison the next.

Meanwhile Moyes will have replaced them with players whose values drop.

I bet he didn’t. Certainly not the top one.

Your hatred of him is as ridiculous as Dave’s.

I dont hate Moyes. I hate his need to run recruitment after failing every season since leaving.

He's a solid coach.

Where on earth have you got the idea that players don't want to play for Moyes ?.
If players don't want to come here , I would suggest that it may be because we have been cr*p for eons , and have been run by lunatics as a basket case club

He's not attracted the ones he wanted.

Players who signed for us actually mentioned speaking with Moyes as a reason they signed for the club. Whether you want to believe that it's up to you

Mate, they are media trained and please believe me when i say the club will have prepared them for Q&A.

Grealish is a pretty elite player and he was more than happy to come and play for him

See below:

Not anymore he isn't, he is yesterdays man fighting to save his International career atm and clubs were hardly lining up to sign him either.

Because he’s lives 20 minutes down the road, wants to play football because the WC, and he’s still getting 300k a week.

On a counter point, not having an experienced right back could cost us say theatrically 3 places, at 3 mill a place over five years the cost becomes somewhat neutral.

To use a real world example we sold Digne to them at the same age for £25 mill, since then he’s assisted in enabling them to the top 4, CL money and Europe consistently. He’s signed a new contract there at 32 last week.

Sometimes you need to spend money to make money mate.

In all honesty, I really believe Grealish thought process was PL team, dont have to uproot the family, 1 year, same wages, sure lets give it a go.
100% it was, he is a new dad and it got mentioned in something about not being keen on uprooting but nevertheless aside from us there was a loose link to Napoli and certain tabloids were trying to link him to Spurs but not heard anyone else mentioned.
