Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Apparently this is the league spend for the past 2 years. Surely these rumours of low funds can’t be right, we should have a considerable amount to spend.

Get spending it ffs.

Agree with you so much. People keep posting in here that project players are not what we need, we need players that can contribute here and now. Eh? Contribute here and now, for what? Maybe an 8th place finish if we do unbelievably well? And then what? Project players are EXACTLY what we need, because we're not competing for anything right now. We want to compete for things in 2-3 years. Almost like it's a...project.

I expected us to be having a rebuild by going for the next generation of stars.

Fofana i was surprised we were after as i felt he was out of reach (and so far is). Dibling is one i named a few times as being ideal.

Its beyond me that we couldnt have signed Dibling 1st of July and instead waited until now to save a few mil, rather than have him integrated over preseason.

The KDH signing is just beyond me. If the money is really there then why have we not gone for a more talented younger player who can become levels above him?

4 or 5 key u23 aged players could have revitalised the team.

At the moment, i dont believe we are stronger in any area of the 11 aside from adding Grealish.

Moyes mentioned at the press conference today, that we have the funds it's the obtaining our targets that's been the issue
Sure...triple their wages, and you see how quickly they come, European football or not. Fofana is meant to be in around 20k euros per week...offer him 100k pounds per week and he will be here in no time. Moyes and the recruitment team appears to be living in an alternate reality...

I actually like the KDH signing, especially in the context of Barry, Aznou, and hopefully Dibling. Fine to have one or two like that at the right price.

But what's the point if Moyes isn't going to play them?

What's hilarious is if the top brass had been firm with Moyes from the start, and properly executed a strategy of building an exciting young core for the future, we could potentially be poaching Glasner sometime soon. As it is he won't look at us twice.
