Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

In spite of it all, if you’d told me after Leeds that we’d get to Friday without any news at at all, not a sniff of a rumour of an advanced talks or anything, I wouldn’t have believed you. Quite incredible how this has all played out.
Everton is that beautiful lady that keeps stringing you along, telling you next time will be different, you take her back every time, with the exact same outcome.

But yes I expected movement.

All hinges on Dibling for me.

If we get him then I think it starts to shape up to be a good window in the long term.

The team would start to look fairly good with Ndiaye Grealish KDH Dibling behind the striker.

There’s still gaps especially at right back and holding midfield but hopefully we can get a couple of loans to sort them out.

if we don’t get Dibling or any right winger then it’s an absolute disaster.

Now were close to 0/10. Dibling takes us to 5/10. A RB 7/10 and a DM 9/10.

All top class or potentially top class.

We've already had some posters, including one who was extremely critical of Thelwell, state that we can't judge until Christmas!

Who?

If that's true about Barry then the recruitment has been nothing short of a shambles this summer so far. Nothing has changed from what I currently see. The scouts are utterly useless.

Moyes isnt a scout & for a manager you'd expect him to know every top leagues centre forwards.

Also, we had Coleman (old, legs are about to fall off), Young (old), Patterson(Dare I say @davek had been right all along) and all this time we never got some young guys in on the cheap to see if we could strike gold, or at least bring in a decent option. Now we are picking our butts sniffing our fingers.

The thing with Kinnear is he was heavily involved with Leeds recruitment that seen them relegated.

And to top it off he tried to sue us when they went down ha.

Mate you know me am an optimistic guy but he just feels all wrong for us.

I hope to god am wrong.
They were relegated but they recruited some incredible attacking players so I was more optimistic. Its not all on kinnear but I definitely get your concerns. I just liked the fact a CEO we hired actually has the requisite football experience , but until it looks untenable hopefully he can make some positive impact here

The only way he’ll learn is by playing, typical Everton this, we never give youth a chance, he’ll end up leaving us in two years for £12m and go on and have a steering career elsewhere.
Maybe but that leaves us with Beto and nothing else. We know Beto’s limitations but you can’t have 3 x work in progress strikers
