I agree it’s a bit scattergun.

It possibly suggests Branthwaite could be out for longer than expected.

He can’t have been bought for LB as it makes the Aznou signing seem nonsensical, though he can cover that position obviously.

I think if we sign Ake he might give Aznou the Coleman treatment ie play as a winger every so often to help him adapt to the English game.

Here's a late night teaser for the Xfer insomniacs. Just say Ake is a replacement for Branthwaite and we get say £80 million in for him and that allows you to get Dibbling AND Fofana.

He was never all that. He's failed at Spurs. Rose-tinted glasses going on here. Better than what we have - not good enough for a truly ambitious club going places. But as we are not going anywhere, he'll be perfect.
