Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Why wouldn't they? Fits their MO for young talent. They play in Europe. They'll have loads of money to spend if Eze goes and it would be an eye catching replacement. Near perfect replacement if truth be told.

He won't be coming here if Palace get involved.
You think Eze and Dibling are 'near perfect' players when compared?

I can only assume that you are some sort of shill or stooge for the new club executive. Moyes made mistakes last night and absolutely must accept a significant share of the blame for what went down but to have no full backs and no right sided midfielders in his squad absolutely is an excuse for the performance last night. The club has failed to build even a functional first team, let alone a squad, by the first game of the season That is a huge failure. They have two weeks to bring in a minimum of three players and ideally more like five. Does anyone have any faith that they will do that? Only you and @Noisy noise annoys , it seems.
Again, it is the basics of the side from last season that was being praised by all. We lost players we did not want and added grealish, dews and Barry. Not sorting the right is terrible but, the rest of the squad is better than last year in general and will be improved further

Last night was a mare but is not going to be the pattern for the whole season

What evidence is there to suggest that Barry is even an upgrade on DCL? From the admittedly little I’ve seen frankly I’ve been alarmed at just how “not ready” he is. He looks absolutely nowhere near ready to start in this league.

Praised by all? Praised by people who got carried away by a couple of small runs of good form and totally ignored us being 2nd best for long periods in home games against Ipswich and Southampton, not winning for 2 months, going a dozen games without a clean sheet etc yes. By all? No.

Yes, we have done it badly but, it’s basically the same squad that was top five under Moyes games and with the addition of grealish, dews, Barry and whoever else we add

A good team doesn’t become crap overnight - we messed up last night ironically due to injuries in positions we are less concerned about than others.

We will have a much better squad than last year you’d imagine and it was a squad that we were all praising
Dont think that last night was just down to injuries it certainly didn't help but it was a lot more than that like no game plan especially first half

Well, considering how poor you kept telling us dcl was, I’d have thought my dog would’ve been an improvement in your mind tbh

It is - I just refuse to get bogged down in it knowing that it was a fairly predictable outcome based on the last few years. New owners weren't going to change that overnight, particularly with Moyes & Co in tow.
I think will get the players in this window and still think will be fine. I agree with you is more frustration from me built up from the last seasons. Just felt should have got other positions filled first this window

Have to disagree with that.

Most of us were giving Moyes plaudits for getting so many points from virtually the same squad Dyche had made look relegation contenders. In no way did I think the squad was good - it needed huge work and still does. The fact the season has now started and we are putting out a much worse starting 11, is hardly believable.
