Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If you could make a pun out of a breed of dog and someone we've been linked with in this transfer window what would it be?

Haha just a bit of light hearted fun isn't it guys to relieve the stresses of yesterday? Don't go outside.

This the most part of the squad that was top 5 form u see Moyes just a couple of months dog, we have added grealush and dewsbhry and Barry and lost doucs and dcl - both of whom everyone wanted gone. Unlucky with the injury to jb and myko but will add a few more before window closes. A wasted July/August for sure BUT this squad will be stronger than last seasons that is for sure

Frustrating cos we could have hit the ground running but,we’ll be more than fine
It's not about being more than fine though, is it? We have fallen so far behind some mediocre teams over the last 5 years and it will be hard to catch them. Look at Forest - also had a points deduction, just stayed up and finished behind us. And then they really went for it. They didn't give a damn about spending and were decisive in their decsion making. Then this summer, they go big again, making signings that should help keep them up there for years to come. They've turbocharged their team and club.

Whereas as we are trying to gather together to be 'fine'. The issue with aiming for 'fine' is that injuries or a bad run push you back down the table and then we re-enter the next transfer window struggling to convince players again because Everton are near the bottom like they always are. No-one thinks we're going to get relegated - it’s more a case of falling behind again and continuing to circle the drain. I don’t think you grasp that with your pejorative bedwetter shouts.

I personally think that with a few signings we could push top half, but we have gone about everything the wrong way this summer and continue to be run like an amateur outfit. And we have put ourselves in a situation where it is touch and go whether or not we can secure what we need. I still think we will, but my confidence is severely ebbing away.

Would love a dog, such a time and financial committment though aren't they? Have you got a dog?

I was in the park the other day and someone had placed their bag of dog sh!t next to the bin, absolutely stank and very inconsiderate. @hktoffee used to have a dog, lovely fella him. UTFT!
I nearly had a fight with a guy walking his dog, I said nice dog that mate, and he asked if I'd like to stroke his cocker spaniel.
I should have picked the spaniel

I wanted to keep hold of Thelwell myself, I saw value in who he'd brought in under literally almost impossible conditions financially, he also was after a good few players who post moves sky ticketed in value. Kudus, MGW etc.

I had doubts on Kinnear straight away, Hammond seems like his guy - the others who may change things up aren't in position yet.

Looking at Roma, Kinnear messes up the remaining few days a d we struggle which I believe we will without three-four good players arriving, then he will be sacked by Christmas
I too would have kept Thelwell for a bit longer before inevitably he made way to TFGs preferred structure . We are currently missing a vital piece of our management jigsaw in James Smith Director of Scouting and Recruitment whom joins us In September from the City Group. It’s crazy how TFG has managed this situation. Hopefully we can stay out of the relegation fight until we can recruit again in January with a proper structure in place.

Think you`re wasting your time with anything remotely light hearted in here today tbh.

It`s the apocalypse or nothing.
