Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It would point to a quite spectacular degree of faith in Dibling if we were to get him in and the need for the lad to make a noticable impact quite quickly.

Taken in context, I still think it's the wrong time for us to be risking it and more the sort of signing we make a year or two down the line.

He won't get much patience here.

We would come close enough to picking up two players for the total outlay on Dibling if we were looking in Europe.

Its the old quality, to availability, to investment ratio mate - i agree with what you say - i dont think Dibling is ready to play 40+ games for us a season, in that sense its an odd choice and maybe a Kubo is the more immediate impactful choice.

I think we've come to a point in the list and said sod it, lets invest in the future if nothing else and see can we get a "Harrison" on loan to support it.

I assume part of the investment strategy with TFG will be to spend money to make money and planning 3/4 windows down the line and i guess he would be the more prominent young players at the moment to do that with in an area we need.

Honestly, I dont believe he will. You dont have a dog and bark yourself. Or summat.

Would love a dog, such a time and financial committment though aren't they? Have you got a dog?

I was in the park the other day and someone had placed their bag of dog sh!t next to the bin, absolutely stank and very inconsiderate. @hktoffee used to have a dog, lovely fella him. UTFT!

Dave I'm actually quite surprised that you aren't just flat-out suggesting that we're down this season. Unusually positive from you mate!

Im not saying we're down. But I'd classify anywhere between 20th and 14th as being in a relegation struggle. Tell me we have a squad right now that get's us higher than 14th...

Literally just discussing getting one. Chocolate cocker spaniel is my daughters preference. One upside would be me no longer having to bark.

I wanted to keep hold of Thelwell myself, I saw value in who he'd brought in under literally almost impossible conditions financially, he also was after a good few players who post moves sky ticketed in value. Kudus, MGW etc.

I had doubts on Kinnear straight away, Hammond seems like his guy - the others who may change things up aren't in position yet.

Looking at Roma, Kinnear messes up the remaining few days a d we struggle which I believe we will without three-four good players arriving, then he will be sacked by Christmas
Fair comments, but giving Moyes so much power too, a man who is known to dither, who has had a mostly horrendous transfer record since his first spell with us, and who is prioritising PL experience for our remaining deals is a problem too.

We pandered to him by packing off Thelwell and handing him the keys. Not necessarily anything wrong in doing that longer term, if that’s the strategy the club wishes (although it's not what I would do) but doing it when we had so much to do this summer and putting us even further behind in our planning was monumentally stupid.

Still no whispers of ANYTHING happening. It's absolutely pathetic. If another one doesn't materialise this week and it's a first XI player then serious questions need to be asked of Kinnear and Hammond. Need to pull their fingers out their a****

They are looking sharp to discuss the next offer with Southampton.

This the most part of the squad that was top 5 form under Moyes just a couple of months ago, we have added grealush and dewsbhry and Barry and lost doucs and dcl - both of whom everyone wanted gone. Unlucky with the injury to jb and myko but will add a few more before window closes. A wasted July/August for sure BUT this squad will be stronger than last seasons that is for sure

Frustrating cos we could have hit the ground running but,we’ll be more than fine
