Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Premier League money will only get us so far in negotiations with good, ambitious players. If we have to assure them that they're in the shop window from the moment they arrive, and that causes them to play like Madrid are watching then I'll take it.

At some point Fofana may realise none of his heroes are coming for him, so he might very well choose to slum it with us for a season or 2.
It worked out pretty well for Onana. The only thing would be if RS is really the “club of his dreams” or whatever then he’s likely have to settle for a different PL club for his next move, but I take those comments with a grain of salt.

How has Fofanas name ended up back in the mix?

Alan Myers weekly Monday "oh crap, must meet my word counter" column said this:

Everton do hold a strong interest in Malick Fofana of Lyon and the player added to the intrigue over the weekend by saying:

“We’ll see, it’s not that I want to leave, but if we have a good opportunity we’ll see”.

And while he’s not an out-and-out number nine, as the stats suggest, Fofana would provide some finishing prowess up top to finish off moves likely dictated by Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall.

So to conclude: absolutely nothing to it.

Does Myers know we signed Barry and have Beto still on the books? He’s acting like we have no striker at the club.

If Dyche had us a few points clearer than we were when they arrived Moyes would never have been back here at Everton and we'd now have TFG preferred manager in charge.

You have to assume that Moyes knows he's on borrowed time here unless he gets us top half.
Last season you were saying they were preparing to get rid of him after about 5 games

Grealish signing on loan will help change the perception of young lads on the continent that don't know Everton at all.
