For what it's worth I think Doak is a really good buy for 25m for Bournemouth considering what other players are going for. At the start of the summer I'd had said that's a touch steep but now it's probably a pretty good deal.

No , of course not .
But if you sign a player whose only ability is run fast and cross you will make yourself an extremely limited side.
Wide player needs to have that ability, but he also needs to be able have a variety of other skills to prosper , good technical skills , good vision are at least as important as pace .
Beto is at his best running on to through balls for instance.
Defences are generally able to cope far better with the nippy winger and big centre forward combinations than in previous eras .
Good teams can vary attack patterns and not get bogged down chasing one solution.

To be fair with the exception fo Robben they all have a sweeter right foot than anyone in our squad

I took that as meaning that we've tried for loads of players this summer and will continue to do so..

Are you new to David Moyes? I don’t think he’s ever sounded hopeful when discussing anything ever.

Last time he publicly called out the recruitment team it seemed to temporarily jolt them back into action and we signed KDH within 24 hours. Here’s hoping he’s trying the same tactics here.
