Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Another linked RB target off elsewhere

i am really curious too what we pull out of the bag here. Hellas Verona RB who was linked to us in previous windows also going somewhere else.
Even though we have Coleman and Patterson we need to act on a new RB. Also i know we have to balance the finances if Dibbling happens or not. But you would think we know if we have budget for say Justin between 5-10M or not.

Hutchinson would have been a perfectly good option to solve a very glaring problem. A bit expensive, but they all are. Not sure on the fee for Justin but he's another one that could have filled a big gap for presumably little outlay.

Gonna have to trust they have a plan I guess. When have they ever let us down before?

Saw that mate, was surprising and I like him as a skilled commentator he’s not the usual attention seeker.

If we do get Dibbling I think everything else will be nominal and non pulse raising loans.
He could be right but I think there's too many unknowns to be sure

We have no idea how much the women's team was sold for

We don't yet know exactly how much more income will be generated this year from the new stadium

I’m sure there will be some hocus pocus done with the women’s team to ensure PSR won’t be an issue.

It’s not just about this window either, we have up to June the 30th next year.

Branthwaite has a £70 mill clause in his contract that could be activated before then,
for example.

Forest seem to be spending an awful lot of money to me as well for a club who’ve had a run in with PSR recently.

Bobble saying on his pod that the club/Moyes are dead set on Dibling and there’ll be a lot of unhappy people at the club if we don’t pull it off.

So who will the unhappy people be if the deal doesn't get done and who will they be unhappy with?

Isn't Hammond supposed to be this master negotiator so is it on him? Is it TFG not willing to spend an additional couple of million to get him through the door?

You've said that a few times now... i can't find any news about a clause. Why would we agree to that when he already had 3 years left?

Really i thought it was reported at the time - have you looked?, but maybe it wasn't, he does but its not active until next summer, i suspect to give him a pay rise so he wouldn't agitate for a move and we would have a baseline valuation met eventually.

The great unknown is the loan market - they will likely have to compromise on quality there for the sake of some depth.

Any opinion that it would be Dibling + loans only thereafter seems credible to me.

A lot of loan opportunities only present very, very late though so it's not necessarily a case of lining them up now - you just have to be ready to strike.

Loans are a stop-gap solution and not ideal but I'd still rather we continued to avail of them and not be put off by recent experience. The loan market is a critical component for us given our budget and amount of positions that need filling.

For sure there will be a significant sale next summer. We cannot be sustainable without it given the constraints.
