Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Another year of recruitment at Everton where there is a lot of right but also a lot of wrong and abject failures. To not have recruited a RB or RW at this stage is disgraceful really, no matter how difficult the market is. It just takes one injury to completely change the dynamic of the squad.
Keggers says hi.

The loan market doesn’t seem to have opened yet

RB I can kind of understand, JO’B fits in the role of we’re doing that 4-2-3-1 to 5-4-1 in ball out of ball tactic we did last year.

RW though is a horrific fail. Absolutely horrendous not to have that covered.

RB isn't understandable to me at all. Coleman is basically a coach at this stage and we all know Patterson isn't good enough. That leaves us with JOB who is also having to fit in at CB if needed.

While it is terrible, it appears we have tried for 7 mainly high profile players for this position and either they will not come (not our fault) or, their club puts to high a value on them - again not our fault. If ANY of these criteria had been dropped in our favour then NO ONE would be moaning as we would have a quality RW.
As painful as it is, the club have tried to get high-bar right wingers which we all want but for reasons beyond their control - it aint happening (yet - it will).

I see that point but also I can't understand it - we have a CB playing RB, Patterson is injury prone/won't cut, Coleman is not going to feature. The backup is Garner, but that will also play another player out of position and weaken the midfield

RW is indeed a fail, so far. 2 and a bit more weeks before we see the final result, but this current outcome was as predictable as the 78th minute sub
