I like him, but he's a CB and he's not going to make us a better attacking unit on that side.

I said yesterday that I dont think Moyes will want to have him - a first team established player - unhappy on the sidelines and so, being the ultra-conservative manager he is, he'll stick with O'Brien there.

But we should be getting a new RB in. No question about that.

Two of our best ever Centre backs played as full backs under Moyes in their early Everton careers.

Well there's plenty of reports they're getting looked at.

If only Moyes hadn't played that useless biff Patterson in the USA some buyers wouldn't;t have been alerted to how he is and we could have got him shifted.

Honestly, there are only two moves there that strike me as highly likely upgrades that will have an immediate impact. Barry is an unknown, Aznou may not make much of a splash just yet, the goalkeepers won't play. So, that leaves the new lad from Chelsea looking a good upgrade and Alice Band in Toffeeland a definite improvement - by universes.

It's a start, but let's see how it goes. We are still well short in too many positions.

But didn’t we all want to sign young unheard of players to develop at the start of the window mate…….

We’re a squad of 23 at the moment, we will get either another two, or 4 and Armstrong and Chermitti will go on loan.

Personally think Armstrong will get six months and Tim the other six.

So prob another 3 after Grealish - would be my take.

Yeah, they've done well so far (in terms of personnel not timing), just really hope they stick the landing
