Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Come on lads. 5 in next week. One per week day!!

A load of the weird ITK's, the lads who sit in their mum's basement declaring they have inside knowledge, declaring fee agreed for Dibling!

I for one full accept their information as much as they accept their virginity.

Happy days boys!

Which "weird ITKs" ?

If Luiz is available for anything like £35 million then it would have been the first deal I would have done this summer. Exactly the sort of quality we need in midfield

Wages?

Apparently in for Akterkoglu from Benfica. A 39m bid

Great stats

I know everyone loves Gana but he gets played around a lot more than people let on. There were times when we were absolutely wide open, especially when we went to a back 5. We can’t just have a player who chases the ball around.

I’d have Garner with two new CMs in front of him.

Only Armstrong will be here next season. Garner, Gana and Irogbunam will be off next summer.

Sorry mate. I live in Canada. Time differences and all that. Still very much ‘last week’ here.

Gianni Balzarini claims that the deal being negotiated by Forest is for annual wages of €5 million, which works out to less than £90,000/wk. That’s about 40% less than he’s getting at Juventus, so I’m dubious. I’m inclined to think the numbers he’s hearing don’t reflect a serious negotiation from Forest but are being bandied about to set a floor. If you want him, you’d better do better than this!

It certainly seems peculiar that a player like Douglas Luis who clearly wants to move, has an issue with Juventus' medical team and barely got a start last season...

...hasnt been snapped up yet if the fee and wages come to £100k and £35mil.

Ive heard a number of posters on here say hes terrible, because his last year wasnt very productive. As if the prior 5 years didnt exist and humans live on some always upwards trajectory.

Im sure there are some bad DOFs that also share that. But for the most part few teams outside the PL can afford that, and they may already have a superstar at that position. The number of 35m+ transfers so far this window that arent sly 6 teams is shockingly small.

I suppose its a gamble to wait and see if there is a chance of a loan with an option.

Though, as you say he's been a top player since signing for Villa and 2 seasons ago he was something else.

If we could spend on the likes of Dibling and Fofana while bringing in Luiz and Grealish on loan that would make sense.

One thing which would be nice is if we used those loans well and had a decent chunk available at the end of next season to sign someone a team needs to sell to comply with PSR.
