You've made your point. What I posted about Bournemouth wasn't something I plucked from the ether. It was a stat used to support the fact that last season Prem wasn't "that good". Taking nothing away from their season either. Maybe the focus should've been the growing gap between promoted teams and the rest ?

Being eased into the side by December and then 1st choice (hopefully) January onwards.

Napoli paused the deal in order to finish all first team signings beforehand apparently. The lad will go there as the backup right back.

"We" have 2 choices here.

Choice number 1, we assume we dont add quality to the side and we struggle for most of the season.
Choice number 2, we assume we add real quality to the side and we compete at the top end of the table, finish an in the end disappointing 8th.

If you believe Choice number 1, your August is ruined, full of daily misery, then you endure the next 9 months of the season
If you believe Choice number 2, you have a great August, then you endure the next 9 months of the season as the crushing reality of Everton grinds you down into a small paste.
