I'd suggest in a Southampton side bereft of much talent, he generally had 2 or 3 men keeping him quiet (similar to Doak when at Boro).

In a team with Ndiaye, and to some extent Beto, tying opposition players up, he will benefit from that extra space.

Looking at some of his highlights, he would have had more assists playing with better players.

He had 1 recorded cross into the box last season, hence longer term I think he is probably more a no.10 playmaker type than a winger
