Palhinha moved to Bayern last summer, for £47.5m, he turned 30 three weeks ago. Only played 17 games last season. Something not quite right.

I'd suggest in a Southampton side bereft of much talent, he generally had 2 or 3 men keeping him quiet (similar to Doak when at Boro).

In a team with Ndiaye, and to some extent Beto, tying opposition players up, he will benefit from that extra space.

Looking at some of his highlights, he would have had more assists playing with better players.

He had 1 recorded cross into the box last season, hence longer term I think he is probably more a no.10 playmaker type than a winger

I think like Ndiaye, he would excel in the way Glasner set up with Eze/Olise. They're more LAM/RAM type players than traditional wingers and would perform better with an attacking fullback.
