Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

RB. Why are so many people relaxed about right back?!
I think the rationale is something like this: Patterson has been slowed by poor development under a succession of managers and a string of injuries, and there's hope he'll come good. Jake O'Brien acquitted himself well in the hybrid role there last year. If Coleman can still contribute, between the three of them, it seems less desperate than other areas.

Because we’ve kept hold of Captain Seamie mate who we think might be able to break into a jog without pinging his hammie some time around late October 🥹💚🫶
Question is will seamus beat his 5 appearances last season?!(deffo worth a new contract) and will that be a good thing or a bad thing?!?!?!?

On his return from injury 1 goal and 3 assists in 231 minutes, 3 of which were from open play
3 assists? i know he got 2 from open play and both were Fortunate the shocking pass for Beto v Forest that incredibly went through the defenders legs. 70% of assists are set pieces. He’s bang average thats why he went from a crap Burnley to a crap Everton. We need a lot better

Just on this Hackney lad - does it not strike anyone as a bit rich that he's off to a Championship club when there are those on here who were convinced he'd be off to a Prem side if it wasn't us? suggests he's not quite as good/ready as some have claimed, no?
You are questioning the authority of a few random blokes from GOT who have never seen him or watched 2 games in the Championship? Brave of you.

I think if you’d have asked people at the start of the window to pick 3 positions in our first choice eleven that needed strengthening, the consensus would have been RB, CM and RM.

Feels quite disappointing as we haven’t done any of that yet.

Yep that’s the disappointing thing.

It’s like Everton seem hell bent on never sorting the RB position.

Pretty sure all 3 spots will be filled soon though, although if we start the season with Jake at RB I won’t be gutted as he’s decent.

Reckon Brownhill will be with us by the end of the week then those positions will be priority and are currently being worked on.

Current squad minus a handful of semi serious injuries across the season = bottom quarter of table.

If the window shut tomorrow, then Branthwaite and Ndiaye got injured until January, nobody would expect the team to be able to put up any kind of a fight until then.

Moyes must be livid at what's going on right now.
